Let's Change The World!

I have seen the progress that we've had over the years and I am torn between two feelings. I am somewhat happy that everything is being modernized or industrialized one way or another but then again, I also feel sad because I know that a lot has changed through time. No, not only the things around us but even man has changed as well.

I have come to the conclusion that because of industrialization, man has gotten too complacent about almost everything and that we fail to recognize what should be done and shouldn't be done anymore. Most of the time, everything is dictated by technology and since we've gotten smart enough to invent and use these technologies, we have relied on them too much, not knowing what it caused around us.

Yes, I am talking about all the fancy gadgets that one has with them. I can't be a hypocrite by denying that I also have such things but then again, I am aware of the dangers of using too much energy. Let's stop and think about our planet for a while. In reality, our planet may be dying. It's obvious that man has used up it's resources too much and thus the destructive effects. Just think about not only you but the other billion people on the planet.

If all of them will abuse the resources aside from you then what else would be left to be saved? As responsible people, we should act now. Saving energy isn't as hard you think. A mere act of unplugging anything that you aren't using isn't that bad. Well, on the other hand, it's the contrary for man. Since man has gotten lazy through the years, man use less energy and instead just depend on technology to do everything for them. How pathetic!

Our habits and ways have affected the ecology too much already. Perhaps it's time for a change. Why don't you try walking instead of riding any form of transportation when you are just going to a place that's nearby? That way, you will not only save the energy that you used with your car but also become more self sufficient. I know you like things to be in a hurry but did you know that you are not the only one. So, if all the people on Earth were in a hurry and are as busy as you, that would lead to many things.

It would lead to too much traffic which could result to noise and air pollution. So, before you think of how hectic your schedule is, try to be more considerate and realize that you are not the only one who needs to keep up to a tight schedule. The way I see it, everything is connected in this world and it's up to us to determine the connection of each thing we come across.

If man is the highest form of animal and has a brain that can really understand complicated things then why did we let the Earth down? Why did we invent things that we knew can be harmful to others or even the planet? Didn't we not think and consider such factors? Is it true that man may have reached their peak in Industrialization and have no other concerns but technology?

Until when will we stay blinded in everything? I know that change is a very difficult thing but if we take small steps in making change happen then it wouldn't be so hard after all. It doesn't matter if you think it's hopeless or even pointless. We all need to take a stand on this one. If the planet dies, so do we. So, do your part in saving the planet. We only have one home and if you want it to remain everybody's home then fight for it. We all deserve a second chance, grab it and change the world!!!

Together we can make the world a better place for all of us...
